Depends on what u mean by ''nearby''. Most of the rock in Allegheny County proper is crumbly shale & unstable limestone & sandstone beds. There r a few road-cuts & small isolated outcrops that some locals use. There r even some building walls & bridge abutments that urban climbers attempt (always risky due to the attentions of the local cops). However, there r plenty of great climbing areas for bouldering & top-roping if u r willing to drive from 40 minutes to an hour. Among the best r Coopers Rock State Park just over the border in northern West Virginia (hundreds of climbs up to 80 feet) & McConnells Mills State Park north of Pittsburgh near I-79 & Route 422. White Rocks just south of Uniontown is well-known, too. I've climbed at all of these in the past & they offer everything from 5.1 beginner scrambles to challenging 5.12, A2 pitches, friction climbing to off-width crack systems.

If u get really ambitious u can drive for 3 1/2 hours some weekend down to Seneca Rocks in WV (where the US Army Mountain troops trained during WWII) & practice ur lead climbing on it is multi-pitched vertical walls.

You could check with the guys at the Exkursion shop in Monroeville (Pittsburgh is oldest & best outdoor rec shop) or the RE l on the South Side for other suggestions. There r a number of active rock-climbing groups, like the Explorer is Club of Pittsburgh (pittecp.org) who have frequent climbing outings, too.
