Not trying to be a dick or anything, but they might feel good, but if l saw someone wearing them, l would laugh at them.. Very hard..

They look funny and l think they would tickle your toes. l would not wear them and l am sure they are too soft to climb in - a climbing shoe needs to have a stiff sole for edging.

Good Luck

Hahahaha, oh man
that does not look like a fantastic shoe to climb in
with the separated toes, you'd think it'd be harder to get a solid foot on anything
Seems like it would hurt ur toes, l know my toes r not strong enough to individually hold up my entire body.

and as for the barefoot part - have u ever climbed barefoot?
Not a pleasant experience.

but man, I'd really like to try these out, they look crazy!

l have a pair of the black KSOs which l wear just about everywhere. They're definitely a different shoe, & many people wo not hesitate to let u know just that. I've actually had one person tell me that my shoes were ''disgusting'' (!), but the main thing l get from people as l walk around town is the question ''where did u get those?''. So the first thing to note is these things r definite conversation pieces.

Naturally l would not wear these in situations where my feet could be seriously injured. If ur only problem with the area u r to travel in is a hot & somewhat pokey surface, then these shoes r fantastic & very liberating. I've done some light canyoneering in these shoes right in & out of the river & then up a scramble or two & they felt great.

However, when it comes to climbing with them l find myself missing the point & edge of a climbing shoe. Instead of my entire foot working as a single climbing unit l end up trying to snag a micro with the weight going onto just my big toe, & while this is starting to make my feet stronger the more l climb in them my individual toes still do not quite support me the way that I'd like.

So, the fact that Vibram markets these as ''barefoot shoes'' is pretty accurate: u r essentially barefoot but a little less injury-prone on the bottom of ur feet. If that is good enough for you, then this is the way to go.
