l wanna get into rock climbing and get into a group or club.I've searched online, but everything I am finding is for indoor climbing gyms and that is just not my thing.

Typically climbing clubs r localized to a certain area. For instance in KS, there is one in KC & Topeka, & posibly Witchita.
Knowing where u r would help. However, since u didnt provide that info, here is what l would suggest:
Contact local universities with climbing clubs.

Some allow non-students to join though there r restrictions. Also, they usually know if there r any non-affiliated clubs in the area with which they have ties & can point u in their direction.

Or, despite ur reservations, climb at a couple indoor gyms & talk up the locals. These people along with the employees of the establishment will know if there r any clubs & how to get in contact.
