looking for a climbing area for a december trip.warm weather a must!also looking for a destination requiring relatively short climbing time (thailand, greece, turkey would be epic, but too far for such a short trip)sport or trad-makes no difference.thanks in advance!

If u r in the US..u can try Monterrey Mexico...
2nd largest Mex city located just besides the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountains..about a 2 hour flight from Chicago.

Rock Climbing & Rappeling r common activities in the Mountains next to the city...in the sourroundings u may find the Sotano de las Golondrinas, which is a cave where u can rappel a 700 meters deep line..or climb the Cerro del Potosi (3, 500 meters Avobe the sea level).

Tamperatures can be cool (as 40 is some days).(same in Greece & Turkey).for warmer temperatures u may go down ti the southern hemisphere to catch the summer in december!!

l would head into Hueco for bouldering but for routes you might have to go to Red Rocks.
Ibex and joes are cold but climbable dont know bishop too well but l think it is a winter climbing area.

l would suggest indian creek, moab it is a difficult place but amazing

The southwest USA or northern Mexico would be the closest destinations. Have you ever climbed in Red Rocks just outside of Vegas? It can be very warm there in November and even into December.
