What is the best mountaineering/expedition sized pack out there?I am looking for something big enough to carry all the heavy winter gear, 80 plus liters of volume.Thanks.

No No No dont get North Face. They r a great brand but packs well they could use some work. l would recommend using an Arcteryx or Granite Gear pack. Granite Gear is a slightly new company but they put everything they have in making the best packs ever. they r very light weight but can support a a large load. Also the arcteryx packs, l would suggest the largest Naos pack. They r completely water proof, & they used welded seams to attach things. rather than stiching. its lighter & stronger. so check it out. Also deuter makes great alpine packs if ur interested. PS all 3 websites will be able to give u all the details u need

Gregory makes the best packs in my opinion - l belive that the ''Denali Pro'' is the biggest - VERY nice packs.
