Im so terrified of heights and im not comfortable with this particular excersise. Plz help!

l have fear of heights and NO you do not have to do it!!! Take the Bad grade if they insist, fear of heights is nothing to play with you could seriously hurt yourself or someon else,. l did and now l pay for it daily, l live a life of pain for doing that same thing when l was in Colorado and l hurt myself.

l am also afraid of heights.but l also rock climb.

Instead of trying to get out of it, why do not you use this as an opportunity to come to grips with your fears? Talk to your teacher and tell him of your fears. You can probably work something out.

work your self up to it and do not look down take it one step at a time when you get to the top you will be proud of your self for the accomplishment. After you make it the first time it will get easier. Good luck and you might just find that it will get you over your fear of heights just remember to take it slow.

Fear of heights is only natural. The more you climb, the more you will trust that you are safe (which you undoubtedly are). Do not be lame!

One thing u must understand is that rock climbing is much safer than walking down the street, as long as u have the right equipment. A belay can easily handle three times their own weight & l guarantee u wont fall. l work at a camp for girl scouts, & l belay on the high ropes & rock climbing. Every day l see girls overcome their fears & climb to the top. They r much happier when they at least make the effort. Let ur coach or teacher know that u r going to try it, but that u r not comfortable doing it. Set a goal for yourself, even if it is to get ur feet over where ur head was. l really think u should try it- l used to be afraid of heights & climbing but now l can scale a 300 foot rock wall on lead belay without thinking twice.

you can act sick when you get there or you can get a note from you parent and give it to your teacher when you get there.

It is human nature to be afraid of heights, everyone is to some degree. l was scared to death the first time l was 1,000 feet off of the ground. Other people are scared when they are 10 feet off the ground. You should try to conquer your fear - you may be able too if you do not have a true ''phobia''.

Do not use an excuse - that is just admitting to failure. Do your best to overcome your fear and talk to your teacher about it.

Good Luck!
