l am participating in the CN Tower Climb for Climate Change (raising money for World Wildlife Fund - Canada) on Thursday. l am going to be climbing 1,776 steps. l am not very fit, but l do try to stay active. l have been upping my workouts, running more and doing my stretches religiously. Any advise as l prepare for these steps? Any advise for after the climb?
Thanks,
Caroline

Keep breathing. Serously, keep breathing and take more than one stair at a time, it uses less energy

It is way too late to start training for it now. Just get a good nights rest the night before, eat a good meal, perhaps carbo load a little. Bring water. Good luck.

Climbing uses a lot of muscle energy to lift your body weight - there is no way to avoid that. But with that many steps you will want to rest BEFORE you get exhasted - make sure when you are resting (every 10 steps or each flight of stairs, etc) that you lock both legs to take the load off your muscles.

Good Luck!
