Soak them and wear them around the house so they form to your feet.

walking in them will break them in. and if u want to get rid of the color bleeding put them in the shower.

There are a few things that you can do..

1) Obviously, you can climb in them, like you said in your question
2) Wear them in the house
3) Bend them with your hands. It loosens them up, and gives you a hand exercise!

Breaking in a pair of climbing shoes is best done while climbing. A lot of people will recommend that u walk around them in the house or what have you. Personally that is a bunch of crap to me.

Why would l want to wear these god awful uncomfortable shoes around my house.

Although a great strategy is to wear them once while u take a shower. That can help loosen them up, but if u r not careful they can get to loose.

Honestly l think ur best option is to just break them in climbing. Be sure to take them off inbetween climbs.
