Does anyone have any beta on the North Sister near Bend, Oregon?l was wondering particularly about the ''Terrible Traverse'' and the ''Bowling Alley''...how steep, what is the climbing like, what kind of equipment do you need?

FYl - I've done the southside route of Hood through the Pearly Gates, Shasta via Red Banks, the Cross Coulior on Mt. of the Holy Cross, and Dead Dog Coulior on Torreys Peak,.

This one is moderately dangerous because of the loose rock and steep exposure. See pictures. It is not a technical climb, but you may want to bring protection nonetheless. This is for experienced mountaineers, do not go there if you do not know what you are doing.

Addendum: In that case, you should be able to determine what kind of a climb it is from looking at the pictures. Bring a hard hat.
