hi quick question: my Passion in life is rock climbing; the problem is im doing 5 A levels so l do not have time to go 3 times a week are there any exercises l can dohome to keepa good level? l do about 40-50 pull ups a day (palms facing away from me) press ups about 30 and things that are like backward press upsfor triceps. to work on endurance l run about 2miles about three times a week, and if its any help l weigh 54kg (just under8 1/2 stone). oh and l climb to v-4 v-5 bouldering grade. how do l improve the muscle side of things?

climb climb climb anything that mimics climbing moves ( which is about anything !) stretching is as important as strength also. l put up awork-outwall 8x8 with adjustable pitch worked great ! good luck & climb safe.

The best thing by far to keep in shape for climbing is a hang board. They build finger, forearm, tricep, pretty much any upper body muscle. Ive recently bought one and l have already gone up 2 grades. Suggested exercises would be pull ups and dead hangs(hang from the board untill you cant hold on any more). There great for fingers. Once again, tramendous gains can be made with this. Heres the link.

omg! l am doing 5 a levels as well and l have a similar problem. you seem to be doing way more exercise at home than l am tho!.
i usually go climbing about twice a week and do about v5 bouldering grades.
i would carrying on doing what you are doing. (if l could do all of that!, which l cant :P) and perhaps do some sit-ups, crunchy things and invest in a pull up bar!. they're great fun
