l find Euphoria is always energising when doing exercise.

l do not listen to music when l climb (except in my head). l find that the ability to clearly communicate with my climbing buds increases the safety of my climbing. Not being able to hear them because l have my ipod on does not promote safety.

l guess if u r in a gym & have an auto-belay u can listen to music. l find it is better to be able to hear the guys above me yell ''rope'' or my climber yell ''falling!''.

l agree with Wayner. Skip the music & concentrate on ur partners commands.

If l were in a gym with an auto-belay l would listen to Debussy or Gregorian Chants. New Age Pan Flute meditation music might be good too. Maybe ''Sounds of Nature'' would be a choice as well, since if l were in a gym l would miss the REAL sounds of nature.
