can l rock climb without rock climbing shoes because l dont have any money.. and how would l tape my foot to climb.

You can climb in boots or tennis shoes if u want; they r just not as effective as climbing shoes. Climbing shoes allow u to step up on tiny ledges that other footwear will slip off.

Since climbing with ur legs/feet rather than ur arms is the most efficient way of climbing, not having good shoes will be a hindrance to you.

l climbed for my first couple of years without shoes before l could afford them. You can still have a lot of fun without them. But when l finally got a pair, all of the routes l struggled with were suddenly much easier.

You can climb, however, not as proficiently as with climbing shoes. A couple suggestions:
1) ebay
2) craigslist

People sometimes sell used climbing shoes not knowing what they are for a real good price. It comes down to being comfortable wearing someone else is shoes. But is is the price you pay.

u dont tape ur foot to climb unless ur talking climbing bare foot. then u would use standard sport taping techniques. u can find these techniques on the internet. If ur new climber taping ur feet to climb WONT work. ur tendons & ligaments r not strong enough to give u the support u need.

If money is tight then just use whatever shoes u have. Keep in mind they might get torn up depending on the rock u climb.

Check out used gear sales like at RE l & stuff shoes can be cheeper than u think

l wouldnt tape ur foot.. thats wouldnt work.
plus u would go through so mmuch tape u migth as well buy shoes.

you can climb without rock shoes but u will find it puts alot more strain on u arms. which is an advantage in some respects
climbing without rock shoes either hurts r makes u fall off lots because it is ,uch more difficult to stay on small holds/ridges..

i would recommend borrowing shoes or buying second hand shoes..
if u r serius about climbing though then rck shoes r one of the best investments & will really improve ur climbing.

Probably is a long shot but rock climbing in very stiff walking (or mountaineering) boots is almost as good as in proper rock boots, you can stand on the tiny ledges just as well, but 'smearing' on flat surfaces is harder. As these are like thrice as expensive as rock boots though l guess it is out of the question..

Try mowing lawns, shoveling snow, or raking leaves. Pick up a little extra work from the neighbors, save up and look on ebay for a pair of shoes.
