l climb around Marquette: Marquette Mountain; the Pinnacle; Incarceration Craig; etc.

It is true that it is probably not mountain climbing really but rock climbing around here. All of my favorite spots involve about 50 to 80 foot climbs on granite rock. There is a little known multipitch lead climb near by that is about 200 feet; but that is probably as close to mountain climbing as it gets around here.

Are there mountains in Michigan to climb?

Maybe some rock climbing?

Certainly you'd have to head to the Canadian Rockies, the Appalachians back east or the US mountain West to experience mountain climbing.
