l TOTALLY DO!!! l actually do it and spend over 8 hours a week training, plus 1 in 3 weekends are taken up by it! l just wanna know how many people are really crazy, because everybody at my school is, until l take them climbing and they can not even get 2 feet up my warm up wall. This is to put people in perspective.

Heck yeah it is a sport. It takes strength, flexibility, concentration, and a whole lot of guts!!!

l would consider it a hobby not a sport. But then again it is all in how you look at it. l just know that you're perfect at it, cause if you mess up you're dead.

It is definitely a sport.
Similar to Golf or Triathon.
Not really a competition sport though. Climbing takes incredible skill, physical conditioning and mental toughness just like other sports.

Rock climbing is a real sport intended for the brave, daring, and fit (physically, mentally and spiritually). Got to conquer this feat with the right peers by starting with wall climbing and ropemanship.

Definitely a sport.you have to train your body and your mind and practice. it akes strenght, flexibility, skill, etc. If your into sport climbing (as opposed to trad) it can be looked at as very similar to gymnastics.

Climbing is actually a competition sport. It is most popular in and around climbing walls (indoor and outdoor) and bouldering. There are leagues and major sponsors and events. Now most of us do not compete, but pursue it recreationally. However, it is also a fitness activity and more. DA
