what's a easy way to climb a rope

Practice.practice makes perfect.

Get a rope walker system. l have a frog system and can tell you a rope walker is faster and smother. just do not get turned around.

As Carrol suggested , use a pair of ascenders, 1 connected to your harness, the other to stand up on ( l think that is what a rope walker system is).

As a climber, l just keep cordollete with me, which can be tied into prussic knots if l need to ascend. But real ascenders are much nicer to work with.

l own Gibbs. One is harnessed to right boot, Another is on left knee harness. Third rides at belt buckle. Chest box with
two rollers keeps me upright. l put both hands in my pockets
and move my legs like l am climbing stairs. A thrust downward
with hip and the waist Gibbs will lock tight so l can 'sit' if rest is desired. Gibbs are also popular with those who want to
pull snot out of their nose, play harmonica, or both.
