is climbing steps a good exercise, i climb 120 floors a day each with 20 steps of 7 inches height, in 40 min

the climb is done in 2 batches one in morning 60 floors and the next at night 60 floors, each climb in 25 min.my climb is one floor up and back to lower floor, this one up and down makes one cycle.And 120 such cycles are done

It would be a great way to keep in shape, but the constant pounding of going up & down is definitely horrible on ur knees- especially for going up & down for any length of time. l highly reccomend switching to something with a lot less pounding such as running around a track, & perhaps saving the stair-climbing to the end of ur run or perhaps once a week.

And by the way, l think some of ur calculations r off, or ur messed up in ur data, because you're saying that u do 96 stairs a minute for 25 minutes? :) Most be a pro stair-climber.

Climbing stairs is a wonderful exercise. l do not think you are doing anything wrong. Keep it up.
