does anyone know any famous rock climbers?

or any very famous rock climbing locations?

i am doing a project and l need to find a topic about rock climbing...i figure a person or place would be the easiest to make a project about..

There r many, & research does not take much, but here r two:

Chris Sharma - Possibly the best climber in the world right now, climbed 5.14c (Necessary Evil) at age 14. Also climbed Realization-claimed by some to be the first 5.15a

Wolfgang Gullich - Set the standard of hard climbing-thought by some to be the best & bravest climber. Climbed Action Directe (in the Frankenjura) which is still thought of as one of the worlds hardest climbs.

lynn hill would be a good choice- the first person to free climb the nose on el capitan in yosemite. the nose would also be a good choice for a place- the new speed record is 2 hours,45 minutes,45 seconds.

Look into Eldorado Canyon near Boulder, CO. I've heard it referred to as an ''international climbing mecca.''

yeah ive been to Eldorado canyon, its alright..a lot of different routes but thats about it. very dry and not very pretty landscape
