Laws vary from city to city. Enforcement is also sketchy. Boston cops r more tolerant than NYC cops. Smaller cities with less 5-0 r also more likely to not throw ur ass in the can for going vertical on the downtown. However, they may get into penny-ante crap like slapping u with a littering charge becase u left chalk-marks on the City Hall.
