Tell me reasons why you hate rock climbing and if you are one than tell me the bad side of it.

Other than falling and being lowered, trying not to break your neck when you have to hike back down from the top.

l dont hat anything about it. Unless of course l fell agian. That sucked. But Im still here and going strong.

l do not hate rock climbing, you will probably find it hard to find people who hate rock climbing in the climbing section of . l do hate the way improving is time consuming and takes a lot of effort.

l do not like climbing because it is easy! It is fun, but hard. Maybe it is fun because it is potential for thurough exhaustion!

One thing l do not like though is the attitudes & actions of other climbers. Yes, that is right..other climbers have the potential to be climbing is worst detraction.
Damage to crags by haphazard bolting & chipping, litter, loud music & behavior.
l like low impact camping is motto ''leave no trace''. Water bottles, power bar wrappers & enough chalk on the climb to paint a fence r not ''leaving no trace''.
This is a pretty small subset of the climbers l have met. But it only takes a few to give us all a bad name.

Oh, l also do not like how expensive gear can be, because l am cheap.

1. Falling.it hurts, especially if you make contact with the rock.
2. Being lowered whilst top roping.it really binds up my boys.
3.My harness makes by butt look big.

The only thing l hate is that l did not start climbing 10 years earlier & that l will probably never be strong enough to climb 5.12 - but l love climbing & everything about it.

There is nothing like being on the 5th pitch of a climb & looking down at the last 1000ft of rock below u that u just led - the trees look like 1'' toys & u r on top of the world.

There is also nothing like conquering that hard top-rope route that really pushes u to ur limit - u know u r perfectly safe if u fall so u can really take ur climbing to its limit.

Both types of climbing push u mentally & physically & really put the stress of life behind you.

I've been climbing since 1964. Mainly on rotten & muddy limestone inside caves with only helmet headlamp for lighting. I've got the equipment & formal instruction for technical climbing. l am usually bouldering at seaside locations. What l hate about climbing include the folks who bolt too much, those who wo not remove unsafe anchors, all who do not pack out their poo, the substance abusers, my being obliged to haul out the crushed failures who could have saved me the trouble by being mashed by a locomotive or something clearly life threatening elsewhere, & sobbing
family members who linger in life after the unlucky depart.

Like someone already said, it is expensive.

Sometimes when it is cold and windy my fingers get frozen. It is even worse when l am ice climbing. It hurts and it is harder to climb!

Getting attacked by bugs or ants while trying to climb/belay.

Otherwise l love everything about it. Even the ''epics'' like getting a rope stuck on a multipitch at the end of the day.
